PROCESS OIL PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
MKR are sole authorised distributor for Shell Process Oils for the UK market.
Process Oils are special mineral oils products used to manufacture products in the chemical-technical industry sector. They can either help in the manufacturing process and/or remain as an integral part of the finished product, which is not regarded as a mineral oil product. To separate this group of products from chemical solvents used in similar applications, process oils are defined as having an initial boiling point above approximately 180 ºC. The properties of the process oil depend on the crude oil source used for manufacture which gives a distribution of paraffinic, naphthenic and aromatic oils in the product.
All the process oils ranges listed below are not R45 hazard labelled according to EU Substances Directive 67/548/EC.
A wide range of paraffin and naphthenic grades are available from the following brands:
- Gravex. Naphthenic process oils.
- Edelex. High quality naphthenic process oils.
- Flavex. Good solvency paraffinic process oils.
- Catenex S. Paraffinic process oils.
- Catenex H. Low sulphur paraffinic process oils
